The cost of postage on orders is a flat rate of $6.95 AUD.
Items that are in stock will be shipped within 5 business days. Please note that if your order is placed during a “sale” period, dispatch time for ‘in stock’ items can be delayed due to increased volume of orders.
How will I know if my order has been dispatched?
An automated ‘shipped’ email will be sent once your order has been dispatched.
Insufficient and/or incorrect delivery information
The Little Reading Room does not alter your address in anyway and your address is sent to the address as typed by you. We can supply a tracking number on request. Once items are dispatched via Australia Post and tracked to the supplied delivery address, we consider the item delivered.
Address changes and/or corrections made through your account will only affect future orders placed after the changes and/or corrections are made.
Customers who enter addresses that Australia Post have deemed having incorrect and/or insufficient details to ensure delivery may result in the following:
- Delayed delivery
- Lost parcel
- Package/s returned to The Little Reading Room
Any package returned to The Little Reading Room due to the above incorrect and/or insufficient information will require an extra delivery charge of $6.95.
If a package arrives back to The Little Reading Room due to the above incorrect and/or insufficient delivery issues and incurs damage to the item(s), The Little Reading Room will not be responsible for replacing the goods but will make every effort to add extra protection to resend the package once the extra delivery fee payments have been made.
If a customer prefers not to receive the items as their requirements have changed then no refund will be provided due to “incorrect and/or insufficient address” details.
NO REFUNDS are applicable if the package has the correct delivery information and is ‘lost’ by Australia Post.

Change of mind
The Little Reading Room is not obliged to provide a refund or replacement for return requests due to ‘change of mind’.
When purchasing confirm that you are ordering the correct title, format, edition and quantity.
Damaged or Faulty Items
The Little Reading Room guarantees that any goods purchased from our website are of acceptable quality, reasonably fit for the purpose for which they are sold, and match the sample and any description provided on the website.
If you have received the wrong items or where an item has arrived damaged or faulty or in any way does not meet the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, please contact via email at email@example.com and quote your name, reason for return and reference/order number.
Where the items received do not meet the consumer guarantees setout above or under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to the following remedies:
If items are returned:
- a refund in relation to the items; or
- an identical replacement, or one of similar value if reasonable available;
Repackage the book(s) and mark the package ‘return to sender’. Send via post box and you will not incur a postage fee.
The Little Reading Room will require proof of purchase for any return claim to be completed.
How long will it take?
Once the returned items are received, we will make every effort to process the return claim within 10 business days. Where refunds are issued to a credit card account, the refund may not appear on your credit card statement until a future billing cycle, depending on the policy of your credit card provider.
All prices are listed in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST.
The Little Reading Room acknowledges and is committed to protecting your privacy. We will collect, use and disclose and hold personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1998 (“the Act”).
Comments and Submissions
If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions, for example a contest submission, or without a request from us, you send suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, ‘comments’), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.
We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service
The information contained on The Little Reading Room website may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. All liability of The Little Reading Room howsoever arising for inaccuracies or errors is expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
